From a large part of our accommodations you immediately walk into the Dennenbos or the dunes. The rural villas and apartments are located more towards the Waalenburg and Den Burg nature reserve.

Walking and cycling

A week away to Texel, for a few days of walking or cycling. It is something different than lazing on the beach, but without a doubt much more varied. You can see some of the nature, visit an interesting attraction or taste, admire and buy local products from local farms. On Texel there is a junction network of more than 140 km of cycle paths and one and a half times as much of a walking path. You can choose to bring your own bicycle. You can also book a bicycle with some of our accommodations, and it will be ready for you upon arrival.

Sightseeing

A week away to Texel is just enough to rest for a few days and immediately do some nice things. The most famous landmark of this Wadden Island is the overwhelming nature and the miles long expansive North Sea beach. At the end of it you will find the Slufter tidal area and a little further is the characteristic red Eierland lighthouse. The only Dutch sea beacon, which overlooks three seas at the same time. When you first visit Texel, Ecomare is one of the ‘ must dones ’, as well as Cape Skil, the Antiquity Room in Den Burg and ’ t Walvisvaarderhuisje in Den Hoorn.
