Where to find our cottages

The cottages are all within walking distance of the village center, forest and beach. If you want to get a ‘ back to nature life-experience ’, take a look at De Boet. The only original sheep fine from Texel that can be rented out. You will stay in the middle of a sheep pasture, 250 m from the paved road. There is no wifi.

Parking and public transport

With regard to public transport on Texel, you have two options in ferry port ’ t Horntje: Connexxion, with bus 28 that runs over Den Burg to the center of De Koog and the local transport service Texelhopper. It visits all villages and sights and has more than 130 stops. You can also reserve the Texelhopper on time and place. Paid parking is available in the villages and at the beach strokes.

Nature on Texel

Texel is one of those few places in the Netherlands, where you can still find really untouched nature. A good example of this is the Slufter, a tidal area where the flood, as the only remaining place in our country, can still flow in and out freely. The De Duinen van Texel National Park even enjoys the status of an earth monument, which means that the area has a special soil significance. The dunes of Texel are a perfect location to rent a holiday home Texel for 2 people. From there you are also in the Bollekamer and on sandbanks the Hors.

Walking and cycling

Have a short holiday with your partner, child or parent. Or ... all alone, with no one more than your dog, just a few days out together. Finally, Oudeschild has a nice fortress, the famous Cape Skil adventure museum and a lively fishing port..

On a Friday we went and everything goes very smoothly on the boat, when you get off the boat you first have the idea that Texel is not so beautiful, but once you drive on you enter a very nice area.
