De Koog stands for cosiness

De Koog is a real seaside resort with a row of dunes forming the boundary between the cosy village and the beach. Its tourist character ensures that there is always something to do. Besides a nice shopping centre, there is a wide variety of catering establishments available. For instance, after a visit to the beach, it is ideal to walk into the Dorpsstraat and relax on a terrace. Incidentally, this is also possible by the sea in one of the nice beach pavilions, such as at Paal 19 and Paal 21. De Koog is also known as a lively nightlife resort with atmospheric cafés, live music and a discotheque.

De prachtige natuur biedt u vele mogelijkheden

If you want more than beach, sea and going out, there are plenty of other activities to undertake in De Koog. You can visit Ecomare, for instance. That in itself is an experience. For example, by seeing how the porpoises and seals are fed. Or by visiting the nature museum. By the way, Ecomare is located in the Dunes of Texel National Park. It is fun to take a walk here. There is a one-and-a-half-kilometre walking route in the Dune Park, but if you go with children, it is also fun to follow the route of the children's walk. In high season, Ecomare organises free excursions through the Dune Park.

There are more adventures to be had on Texel in De Koog. For example at Indoor Karting where it is possible to experience a thrill of kart racing every day. Of course, there are also opportunities in the seaside resort to hire bicycles, E-bikes and mountain bikes. Or join an outdoor horse ride. This is also possible if you have little or no experience riding a horse. For example, at Manege Kikkert on Bosrandweg. Whatever you are going to do, everything on Texel is a short distance from your flat for 4 persons.

Holidays on Texel mean plenty of enjoyment with a choice of many activities. However, it is also great to just enjoy and relax a little extra.
