What time do we have to check out?

A check-out time of 10:00 applies to almost all accommodations, except for the Waalerburgt Nature Villas, this is 11:00. Would you like to check out later? This may cost € 24.50 per hour, a late check out can never be later than 2 hours after the original checkout time.

How does parking on Texel work?

On Texel, you must have a Texel e-vignette which you can purchase online via this link. This website tells you everything you need to know about parking on Texel.

Are bed linen required?

Our accommodation is equipped with pillows and duvets. The use of your own or rented bed linen is required.

The bed linen package includes a bottom sheet, pillowcase and duvet cover.

Is there a high chair, cot or playpen available in the accommodation?

A number of accommodations are standard equipped with a high chair or cot.

If you want an (extra) high chair, cot or children's playpen, you can book this.

Is there wifi available at the accommodations?

WiFi is available for all accommodations. The wifi at an accommodation varies depending on whether it's open or password-protected. The Wi-Fi password can be found in the on-site information book.

Is the use of a dog crate mandatory and can I rent one?

In our accommodations, dogs are not allowed to be left alone in the house. Also, pets are not allowed on the furniture, on the first floor of the accommodation and in the basement.

Can I book extra bed linen?

Our accommodation is equipped with pillows and duvets. The use of your own or rented bed linen is required.

In some accommodation, rental is required and sometimes the beds are made up and provided with towels/bathrobes as standard.

The bed linen package includes a bottom sheet, pillowcase and duvet cover.

Can I add bed service and towels?

Unburden yourself completely by booking bed service with towels.

Your bed will be made, towels (1 bath towel, 3 towels, 1 tea towel and 1 kitchen towel) are ready and you will receive a bath set.

A bathrobe can also be booked, this is a one size fits all.

Can I use the Broodjes Service on Texel so that I have fresh sandwiches at home every day?

Sandwiches Service Texel delivers delicious, freshly baked bread rolls all over Texel every day, at the desired address. You can find order forms in both the holiday homes and at the reception. It is also possible to choose from the wide range here and place the order.

Can I make use of the babysitting service?

Would you like an evening out together without the children during your holidays? It is possible to request a babysitter through us from 18:00 until 02:00 at the latest. You can, of course, meet the babysitter in question in advance.

Can I have something delivered on the accommodation?

This is possible indeed, you can simply enter the address of your accommodation. Please note that not all websites deliver to the Wadden Islands. And that the delivery time can sometimes be delayed by 1 or 2 days.

Can I cancel my booking?

It is possible to cancel the booking if you have not yet paid a deposit. Once the down payment has been made, it is no longer possible to cancel free of charge. Unless you have cancellation insurance

If a travel agreement is cancelled, cancellation costs are payable by each traveller in addition to any reservation costs owed. The following conditions apply to cancellations of agreements relating to own-account travel:

  • for cancellation of everything up to 42 days before the day of arrival: 30% of the travel sum.
  • Cancellation from the 42nd day (inclusive) to the 28th day before the day of arrival: 60% of the travel sum.
  • Cancellation from the 28th day (inclusive) to the day of arrival: 90% of the holiday price; *Cancellation on the day of arrival or later: the full holiday price
Is it possible for me to charge my electric car at the accommodation?

Can we park at the accommodation?

All our accommodation has its own parking space. The flats in Julliana have 1 parking space, which is assigned to the number of the accommodation you have rented. Are you coming with 2 cars? Please park 1 car in the car park at the jumbo in De Koog.

Can my pet come on holiday?

It varies per accommodation whether pets are allowed and how many pets there are. You can check the number of pets directly on the website when selecting your accommodation.

From what time can we check in?

Almost all accommodations are available from 15:00, except for the Waalerburgt Nature Villas. These are available from 16:00.

The reception is located in apartment complex Juliana.

Where can I best rent bicycles if I want them to be ready for the holiday

As a guest of Texelvakanties, it is possible to hire your bicycles in advance. If you reserve the bikes well in advance, you have the option of having them delivered and collected from your holiday accommodation. The bicycles will then be ready for you upon arrival at your rented accommodation.

When should the deposit be paid?

The deposit must be paid at the same time as the property, and will be refunded to your account number known to us after 14 working days from the day of departure.

What are the must-visit Texel attractions for new visitors?

New visitors should definitely visit the Ecomare, a center for Wadden and North Sea life. Other recommendations are walking or cycling in the Dunes of Texel National Park, visiting the ligthouse, and exploring the pictureque villages such as Den Burg and De Cocksdorp. There are numerous bird watching areas for bird lover, and the beach always offers relaxation and fun. 

 

What are the best times of year to visit Texel?

Texel is attractive all year round, but each season has its charm. Summer offers warm weather and is ideal for beach activities, while spring is perfect for nature lovers who want to see the lambs and blooms. Autumn offers beautiful colours and quieter moments, and winter lets you enjoy the island's rugged, natural beauty. For less crowds, late spring and early autumn are recommended.
