Holidaying in a Texel country house gives that little bit more holiday feeling than in an ordinary holiday home. Most of our country houses are older homes, with a bit of history attached. Of course you can park your car(s) at your holiday address. In the villages and at the beach beaches, however, parking is paid, as in many other places on the island. The easiest and most economical way is to buy a Texel e-vignette. You can do this for the duration of your stay in our Texel villa. If you find it more convenient to leave the car at home for a day, you can use the Texelhopper. This drives all over the island, passing more than 130 stops. You can also order the van by time and place.

With so much beautiful nature and interesting sights in a relatively small area, this Wadden island is a paradise for cyclists and walkers. With a cycling network of more than 140 km and over 200 km of footpaths, the Municipality of Texel has done its utmost to make things as pleasant as possible for holidaymakers. Since getting lost is virtually impossible, you can easily join a dune route or the popular 'round Texel' from your country house.
