N99: De Kooybrug Den Helder
The Kooy Bridge in Den Helder located on the N99 will be renovated. The work will be carried out from 21-10-2024 to 25-04-2025 .
Juliana flat coplex under construction
Due to a collision with the facade of apartment complex Juliana, there are scaffolding around the facade at flats 034, 036, 082 and 132. It is still unclear how long these will remain here.
Accessibility Juliana apartment complex
The Nikadel and Badweg intersection will be closed from week 40 to week 43. It will not be possible to use this route then.
During the closure, an alternative route has been set up which is clearly signposted upon entering De Koog. The alternative route goes via Ruijslaan, which is temporarily designed as two-way traffic.
The diversion will start on Monday 23-09-2024 and is expected to last until the end of October 2024. However, the schedule may change depending on the progress of works and weather conditions. We will keep this post updated for any changes.
Public transport will also run a modified route during this period. The bus stops Brink in De Koog and Badweg in De Koog will be cancelled. You can get off at the Nikadel stop in De Koog, from where it is about a 10-minute walk to Appartementencomplex Juliana. You can also continue your journey by public transport via this stop.
Emergency bridge Badweg
Emergency bridge Badweg for pedestrians only, diversion for motorists towards beach Paal 20
The original bridge between Badweg and Paal 20 (Kogerstrand) has been removed. A temporary emergency bridge for pedestrians has now been installed. Cyclists may only cross this bridge on foot, with their bicycles in hand. If you come by car, you must first pass the barrier of Kogerstrand campsite. You will cross the campsite grounds and reach the beach via a slab track.
The bridge between Badweg and Paal 20 was condemned; the old bridge was no longer safe.
Accessibility Villapark Kamperfoelie
Work on Kamperfoelieweg will start from 7 October 2024 but local traffic will remain possible.
On 14 October, there will be work on the asphalt of the Kamperfoelieweg. The road will then be closed from 10:00 in the morning until 17:00 in the evening.
On Tuesday 15 October, reconstruction of the intersection of Mienterglop and Kamperfoelieweg will take place. Villapark Kamperfoelie is then only accessible via Dorpstraat.
When the intersection of Kamperfoelieweg and Mienterglop is ready, Kamperfoelieweg will be one-way from Dorpstraat until the end of the works.
There is no clear end date until when the works will take place. We will therefore keep this post updated if there are any changes
