N99: De Kooybrug Den Helder
The Kooy Bridge in Den Helder located on the N99 will be renovated. The work will be carried out from 21-10-2024 to 25-04-2025 .
Boodtlaan De Koog
The sewer on Boodt Avenue will be replaced and Boodt Avenue will be redesigned.
The work will take place in phases. Depending on the phase, through traffic will be diverted via Nikadel and Ruijslaan, or via Pijpersdijk and Nieuwlanderweg. Follow the signs indicating the diversion routes. Trucks will be diverted via Ruigendijk and Nieuwlanderweg as standard.
Pontweg/Redoute intersection closed from 3 March to 4 April, diversion to and from boat
From 3 March to 4 April, the Pontweg/Redoute intersection will be closed. Work will be carried out at the site, including resurfacing the road.
Traffic will have to make a detour. This also applies to cyclists. The diversions are signposted along the roads.
- Motor vehicles coming from the boat will take the Pontweg, Amaliaweg and Hoornderweg roads.
- Cars travelling to the boat will go via Hoornderweg, Watermolenweg and Molwerk.
- Oudeschild can be reached via Amaliaweg, De Rede and Redoute. And to the boat you drive via Schilderweg, after which you follow the indicated diversions to the ferry port.
- Cyclists to and from the boat ride via Pontweg, Amaliaweg, Hoornderweg and Zuidhaffel.
- Truck traffic will drive north via Amaliaweg/Hoornderweg. And back via Hoornderweg and Watermolenweg.
Emergency bridge Badweg
Emergency bridge Badweg for pedestrians only, diversion for motorists towards beach Paal 20
The original bridge between Badweg and Paal 20 (Kogerstrand) has been removed. A temporary emergency bridge for pedestrians has now been installed. Cyclists may only cross this bridge on foot, with their bicycles in hand. If you come by car, you must first pass the barrier of Kogerstrand campsite. You will cross the campsite grounds and reach the beach via a slab track.
The bridge between Badweg and Paal 20 was condemned; the old bridge was no longer safe.
